Prevent and treat pimples on the chest, back and butt
Put aside the soap or body wash you've been using in favour of cleansing with pore-clearing glycolic, or salicylicbased products-try No-Marks, Himalaya or Dettol soaps if you find medicated soaps too harsh on your skin. Then spot-treat any pimples with products containing the same ingredients. If your body acne seems resistant to treatment, book an appointment with your dermatologist for cortisone injections, which can reduce swelling and inflammation of the offending blemishes within 24 hours. Visit your dermatologist for product recommendation lest you end picking a product that's too strong for you.
Get rid of whiteheads, blackheads and open pores...
Lakme, Shiseido, Clarins, Garnier and L'Oreal have plenty of scrubs and pore cleansers to choose from. Else, try what grandma suggests:
1. Mix either oatmeal or almond powder with enough rose water to make a soft paste that spreads easily on the skin. Rub it on your skin with your fingertips. Leave it on for about 15 minutes and then rinse off with cold water.
2. Rub bitter gourd gently on your face. Do it once a day for nearly about three to five days.
3. Warm a little honey and apply on the affected areas. Wash off after 10-15 minutes.
4. Wash the skin with a natural exfoliating product and pat skin dry. Later, steam your face with boiling water, (to which a few drops of tea tree oil has been added) to open the pores and soften the skin. Apply a clay mask or seaweed clay mask to absorb the oil in blocked pores. Leave it for approx 10 minutes and then rinse off with warm water.
